John was a good friend of mine dating back to the early 70's in Long Beach. I last saw him at a swap meet in Malibu where he was showing his fossils. That was in the mid 80's.
He gave me the lead to approach Space Gallery. I still remember telling Ed Lau back then, '76, that "John Schroeder recommended I show you my work" and Ed replying, "Who?"
He was a kind and gentle soul. Thanks for relaying the sad news of his passing.
